First, as a boat owner himself, he knows what it feels like to find the vessel you love and want to buy, only to discover it needs a marine survey before insurance coverage. Locating a certified master marine surveyor who did quality work and was available wasn’t as easy as it seemed — so he decided to become one himself!

Secondly, in order to provide full service in marine surveying (and home inspections!) David became certified in infrared thermography. For those unfamiliar with the technology, this service uses a thermal gun to detect abnormalities behind hulls, walls or surfaces not seen with the naked eye; it is very useful for finding water intrusion and soft spots or repairs.

Finally, David listened to his customers who complained about outdated fixtures in their vessels or houses but the expense of replacing was too high. Even those who just purchased pre-owned boats wanted to make it their ‘own’. He decided to invest in vinyl wrapping as its uses are endless – cabinets, tabletops, doors, walls, etc. He became a preferred installer for 3M and the Di-Noc material and never looked back.
